Ways to Donate

  • Monetary donations are obviously one of the major needs we have.

CAIRS is made up of 100% volunteers and therefore overhead and administrative costs are negligible. Your donations will go directly to supporting the efforts to relocate Refugees in the Carbondale area. It will be used to pay for housing, food, transportation, medical care, tuition for English language learning, and all of the other ways you can imagine would be necessary a family would need monetary support. CAIRS currently has zero administrative costs since it is made up entirely by volunteers. Donations can be made here.

We have an active campaign to raise money to reunite an Afghan Family

In 2022 through Carbondale CAIRS, we welcomed an Afghan couple to Carbondale, Illinois. This couple escaped during the collapse of the Afghan government in Kabul, August 31, 2021. We are the Safe Arbors Carbondale Sponsorship Circle. We are in urgent need of funds to reunite an Afghan family living in our community. Please checkout or GoFundMe page for more details on the family or to make a donation!
